Cleansing, Surrender, and Grace on the Path to Kailash, Manasarovar, and Muktinath
A devotional reflection on the Mohanji Conscious Cleansing Process (CCP), inner release, and the quiet grace of Mohanji, his team, and Lord Shiva.
Yesterday’s Mohanji Conscious Cleansing Process became, for me, a deeply humbling and intimate journey within. I had mistakenly believed I was logging in 15 minutes earlier, when in truth I was 15 minutes late. Because my mind had registered the time as 5.30 pm IST instead of 5 pm IST.
To that confusion was added the unrest of a power cut, with only the UPS available and only a few switches in the apartment working. At the same time, those connected to heavy consumption remained unavailable. Thus, I entered the session not in perfect stillness, but carrying the weight of a slightly disturbed mind and body.
When I joined, the Gayatri mantra for Mohanji was already being chanted. I sat quietly with my eyes closed, not knowing what to expect, only offering myself to the process. After a short while, I felt myself drifting away, as though ordinary awareness had loosened its hold. Later, I could not recall that portion clearly. When awareness returned, I could hear the instructions only faintly, like a voice coming from a great distance.
At times I struggled to hear properly and wished the voice could be louder. At other times, I could hear nothing at all. I knew that I was being asked to say something or do something, yet I could not fully follow. This became an inner battle between willingness and inability.
One part of me wanted to obey, while another part kept whispering, “I cannot do this,” and “this is too difficult.” The session also felt unexpectedly long, and I struggled to remain seated through it all. Finally, I yielded. I told Mohanji inwardly that I could not do or say what I was being instructed to do, and I surrendered myself completely.
I asked that whatever is not meant for my highest and greatest good be removed from my life. I felt I had had enough of the drama of the world. And then, almost imperceptibly yet unmistakably, the resistance began to soften. A little more ease entered the space, and surrender became less of a struggle and more of a quiet opening.
After the session, I was utterly exhausted. I had been sleeping a great deal and struggling to rise early in the morning. I had to set aside other sadhana practices because, truthfully, it wasn’t possible to carry out major spiritual disciplines all at once when so much shifting, cleansing, and challenge was happening simultaneously in the physical body, the emotional field, and the mind. Frequent bowel movements drained me completely, leaving me with very little energy.
The root chakra cleansing seemed to have a powerful effect, with visible symptoms and a strong aftermath in my body. Emotionally too, the process opened the floodgates of release, and I found myself crying. It felt as though something long held inside had finally begun to loosen.
As I reflected more deeply, I felt as though the entire process had been orchestrated, guided, and supported in sacred order for delegates like me who are preparing for the Kailash, Manasarovar, and Muktinath yatra. It felt as though burdens were being lifted, heaviness was falling away, and the debris of life that had caused so much pain and misery was being emptied from within.
A profound gratitude rose within me, as if many years of battle and struggle were finally beginning to reveal their meaning and their light. In that space, I could sense that this journey is not accidental. It is held in grace, and every clearing has a purpose.
With a heart softened by this experience, I offer my deepest gratitude to Mohanji, the Mohanji Team, and Lord Shiva. Thank you for this sacred cleansing, for the unseen support, for the inner release, and for the grace that carries a weary soul forward. May this process continue to prepare me to walk the sacred path with humility, lightness, and surrender.
